He wants to ask more on what Chen Gong means, because while honor's fine and all it's just a virtue. Honor dictates how you live your life; it doesn't give you the strength to win battles. Kind, virtuous men die because although they may have had honor they had not the strength to defend their honor.

But first, to Chen Gong's next question. It's a deeply personal one, and Zhang Liao pauses to consider how best to explain it to Chen Gong.
