For a moment, the ice from the ground seems to rise up and turn into snow, freezing the water in the air and causing them to fall as white specks onto her hair. Like a petal being buried in a winter storm, and left to rot.
But Diao Chan is far from a petal, instead eventually rearing her head up. Like something awaking from hibernation, creeping out through the snow. Its head is visible first, before it body coils (Diao Chan bows to Zhang Liao once again) and it stretches open its mouth to reveal fangs tipped with--

She 'ignores' the fact that he's now serving Wei, now serving the man who controls the Emperor like a dog. Instead, she lets the ice melt, and flashes the lone person she recognizes a warm smile.
