That doe-eyed innocent and delicate act was what snared both Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu after all; having witnessed it himself, even confronted her about it later when he felt enough was enough and he owed it to his master to step in and do something, he knows that he's going to have to be careful and take whatever she tells him with a pinch of salt.
Because he's going to have to interact with her, isn't he? She's got her whip but she's no warrior. And while Empatheias was infinitely safer when compared with where they're from, he doesn't want to disregard any possible risk that something sinister might potentially be lurking somewhere beneath the serene and scenic backdrop of this island. Which is partially why he spends so much time near the borders of the human settlements; if anything starts coming round the mountain, he wants to be the first to know.]
